Room 1 was a mixed bag. Jackie, the host, provided great local tips and the breakfast stood out. The location near the train station was convenient. the noise from the busy road was quite disruptive, making it hard to relax during the day. The bathroom felt cramped, especially for taller guests, and the WiFi was spotty. It worked well in the dining area, but weak in the room, which could be a hassle if you're relying on it. Despite the issues, the overall atmosphere was welcoming, and the breakfast included a delightful Scottish option with porridge and whisky. This place has potential, especially with better soundproofing and some updates in the bathroom setup.

The Standard Twin Room wasn't the best experience. Its location was way too loud, being next to a busy road that had traffic from dawn till dusk. the bathroom setup felt cramped. anyone over 5'6" might have some serious knee issues when sitting on the toilet due to it being too close to the wall. WiFi was spotty in the rooms, only working well in the dining area, which could be an issue for anyone needing a reliable connection. The steep stairs might be tricky for anyone packing a heavy bag too.

The Scottish breakfast was amazin’! 🍽️ Spacious room with great shower and plenty of towels. Just watch out for the steep stairs to your room – bit of a workout!

I stayed in the Double Room with Private Bathroom for 2 nights. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a delightful shower. the noise from the busy road was quite distracting at times, and the bathroom was a bit cramped for taller individuals.

mixed feelings about my stay
The couple running the property were very welcoming, making us feel at home. We loved the stunning sea view from our room! The breakfast spread was impressive, especially accommodating for vegetarian options. The clean and modern room exceeded our expectations.
The stairs to the room were quite steep.

spacious room with facilities and a good shower. had an amazin’ Scottish breakfast on my last day, especially loved the porridge with a drop of whisky. the cooked breakfast was really well done too, with mushrooms and swuare sausage. the location is easy to find as i knew where it was from previous visits. there were enough towels which was a plus.
stayed near a busy road which got quiet at night but could be annoying during the day.
